Domestic Violence

Domestic abuse is not constrained to violence but also appealing to the emotions and verbal abuse which sends many to depression to early grave

It is fact that men have been labelled as abusers that there are may NGO's which fight against women abuse and protect them by building shelters to escape from abuse, giving them the fresh start by providing legal advice and counselling

But then again, WHAT ABAOUT MEN THAT EXPERIENCE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE?

There is huge number of men who experience domestic violence but wouldn't disclose that to anyone or hesitant to report abuse due to various reasons which are as follows:

  • They are ashamed
  • They got the belief that no one will believe them
  • They are threatened, etc.
And these above-mentioned reasons have made many to stay in toxic relationship, unable to report to authorities because they fear that they are going to become a laughing stock. The abuse can cause serious effect on the emotional well-being of an individual.

So how do you think men can deal with domestic violence?

  14. Domestic abuse can be two-sided, and people kind of take advantage of the fact that men are also abused by woman and even other men as well, it is a good thing that you are shining a light onto this topic generally and creating a space for people to learn more about domestic abuse, for all genders

  19. Domestic violence and abuse can happen to anyone, regardless of size, gender or strength. This is very true when the abuse is psychological rather than physical.
